Legacy Foundation of Kentuckiana

Every community. Healthier.

Vision

To become a national model for community health philanthropy.

We will accomplish this by living our mission every day.

Mission

We make the healing presence of God known in the world by improving the health of  the people we serve, especially those who are vulnerable, while we advance social  justice for all.

We will always align our actions with our purpose.

Strategic Purpose

Our purpose is to assure the integrity of the ministry by improving the lives of vulnerable populations and creating healthier communities in the six counties served: Bullitt, Hardin, Jefferson, Nelson, and Shelby in Kentucky and Clark in Southern Indiana.

To demonstrate this purpose, philanthropic support shall further charitable causes that  advocate for healthy neighborhoods by supporting projects that integrate education, health and social services, with the ultimate goal of sustainability and self-reliance.

Our motto is…Every community. Healthier.

About the Foundation

The Legacy Foundation of Kentuckiana is aligned to the original mission and purpose of Jewish Hospital & St. Mary’s Foundation while growing and adapting in order to meet future healthcare needs within our community. Throughout all of this, we will honor the legacy and intent of all our generous donors.

In the past 30 years, the Foundation has been at the forefront of life-changing work. Thanks to generous support, we have accomplished a lot in the Greater Louisville and Southern Indiana region, including enhanced patient care, cutting edge medical research, education of health professionals, and improved access to health care. Our focus is on the continuation of our mission and to improve the health care of our region based on outcomes of the community needs assessment in six counties including Bullitt, Hardin, Jefferson, Nelson, and Shelby in Kentucky and Clark in southern Indiana.

To demonstrate this purpose, philanthropic support shall further charitable causes that advocate for healthy neighborhoods by supporting projects that integrate education, health, and social services with the ultimate goal of sustainability and self-reliance.

At present we are not accepting requests for funding but in the near future more information will be available regarding funding applications.
